So would it be true to say that you don't like Technic gears?  Aren't they (by
themselves) incompatible with classic 'System' bricks?  ;)

Don't catch my on my every word, please, I'm not a native speaker so
expressing some subtle feelings and so are rather hard for me ;-)

I just think of studded beams/holed plates as a 'compatibility layer'
between System and Technic. My old 744 set shows how great could be the
System brick with some Technic elements and some of the new Designer
sets look nice too, but I don't have them.

So from 2000 - 2004 is not a time period that can be described in "years"?  O.K.
Then let's say that the studless beams have been around for 36 - 48 months.
Given that the recent color issue has only been around for about 2 months, I
think the firestorm over studless pieces should have erupted long ago.  ;)

But it was just the Technic sets in 2003 which don't have any studded
parts. Not to mention there was only 1 Technic model in 2002 (BMW).

Your list leaves me with another question and I just want to ask for
clarification of your feelings again.  Based on the examples above I would take
it to mean that you are primarily against the full-width studless beams.  Is
that true?

I'm against Technic sets which contain _ONLY_ such parts and not the
traditional Technic bricks.

And those have been around since at least 1997.  So are you o.k. with them?
They have, without question, been around for years.  If 1997 isn't several years
ago then I guess my time travel machine has finally started working. ;)

That is several years, and such parts are great. Even the studless beams
are great. But the sets containing only them...

Sell well as rereleases then perhaps the company will see how much some builders
like these older style of models.  Have you bought one of these?

No, it was not for sale here and it's not in catalog either. Same
applies to Mindstorms, UCS etc. [Retail price for Mindstorms in shops
which did import on their own is 350 USD].

If not, have
you at least written to the company expressing your support for the reissuing of
Technic models that use LOTS of studded Technic bricks?

I still have to find out the way how to write them, as my country is not
getting the support. Should I use that 'My Opinion' button on their web?

It's just my feeling that if something is being done right... tell them.  And if
you're really unhappy with something like the Backhoe (isn't that where this
whole thread started?) then tell them that too.

Nooo, I like Backhoe. But there are no studs in there ;-)))))))))))
Darth Vader standing next to it has no studs either, but that doesn't
bother me at all (as Racers/Bionicle etc.)
