You've nailed Anderson to a T. I can't stand his books, and most of the
hard-core SW books fans have never forgiven him for the "editing" job he did
on Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina. One of the stories in there (which I
think was written by him) relates the Greedo/Han scene from Greedo's
perspective, but it put the lines from the movie out of order, and got the
Rodian wrong. The script and novelization of the movie saus Oota Goota
Solo? (Going somewhere Solo?) but he managed to have it as Oonna Goona Solo
in the book. If you're going to edit, at least get the facts straight!

I've got the Encyclopedia, it's a great reference book!

I just remembered that I never got past the first book of the Bounty Hunter
trilogy, for that exact reason. The 4 books you listed are the worst,
though I'd say that DarkSaber and Children of the Jedi aren't quite as bad
as the other two.

Actually I, Jedi is a seperate book that features a couple of same
characters (It's the Jedi Academy trilogy time period from Corran's point of
view) where as the other 9 take place leading up to and into the Zahn trilogy.
The series I would reccommend:
The Han Solo trilogy (not the same as the 3 Han Solo stories that were
published in the 70's)
The X-Wing novels
The Zahn trilogy
The Black Fleet Crisis trilogy
The Zhan 2-book set chronologicly at the end of the timeline
The Corellian trilogy
Anything else by Michael A. Stackpole or Timothy Zahn, including the schort
stories in the "Tales from" series.
Just MHO!
