All I can figure is that its too obscure... that or there is a fair bit of
introspection on the part of Foyle (his motivation for surviving in the first
place) and unexplained ability (the ability to Jump is never explained, it just
is).
None of that has been a show stopper in the past though.
The other thing I think may count against it is there are no easy sequels and
seeing a relatively short book, and relatively old, perhaps people have
dismissed it?
