  Dual Vision Command Controll
 
Anybody successfully incorporate two Vision Command sensor/cams to one PC? There are alot of in's and out's to doing this...I have ideas (and the need) but I want some feed back before discussing it. Anybody got two connected to one (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics.vc)

Does anyone know how to use the legocam/vision command software as an alternative input device, say for a game? Hey Y'all: My question is a fundamental one -- are there advantages to using either one of the software packages that come with the Lego digital camera, or is it better to simply use some other third pary software? Olá Alberto :) PICTURES/SNAPSHOTS: Try to use the camera in a *very well* illuminated room/environment. From my experience with the VC, the quality (quantity?) of lighting is very important to get better picture, after *manually* adjusting the focus (...) I have a Dell Pentium III 833 and my copy of Vision Command works fine on Windows ME. But my question about VC is whether one is limited to making 1 minute videos with it. Are you saying that it does not work with Millenium? When I wrote a review for VC for Robot Science and Technology magazine, LEGO said they expected it would work with ME. Those who built moving applications with the VC cam know that the very stiff cable complicates the design and limits practical usage. Hello, I finally took my VC into work and installed it on a test machine I have in my cube and it worked fine on an old Dell P166. Hi, I've ordered both VC and Studio set, and while I'm waiting for the sets to arrive, I'm asking myself if it is possible to interchange both cams. I have installed Vision Command in VPC4* on my G3/233 Powermac but cannot get it to work - plus the Lego software for it runs extreemely slowly. The Legocam is made by Logitech and I downloaded the only Mac USB drivers I could find on their website (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.vc)

The camera is a good quality and is most responsive to motion. The light and color sensitivity seem to be rather marginal. The big drawback is the cable to the camera. It is 16 feet long, which is great, but it is quite stiff and a cumbersome (...) (23 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.vc)

I always find myself confused when I mess with programming. I have no clue as to downloading the test program into slot 1 of the RCX. Vision Command offers very limited control of the RCX. It would be nice if you could use VC as a smart sensor from a more convention RCX program with full control. (...) You are right, the QuickCam Express and the Lego camera have identical vendor IDs (0x046d), but the Product IDs are different (0x0840 for the qce and 0x0850 for the Lego camera). So am I right in my understanding that the datastream from the USB Lego VC is the same as a quickcams datastream, plus audio? and what would the audio portion of the datastream be using for it's format?
