Nicely drawn as usual.  I like this idea for a game a lot.

Thanks!  I think this game will be a lot of fun.

Hey Calum... is the broomstick thingy supposed to be directly under
the beam?  In the drawing it looks like it would be offset...

You know, I didn't realize that it doesn't make any sense at all :)  (or was I
trying to make it look like an Escher drawing?  you decide!)  I guess it would
be immediately below the beam itself.

I think, it was either Iain or John, who said if we put the broomstick thingy in
the base, it would make everyone need to use it and would basically force a
given strategy.  I guess it is overwhelmingly attractive as a strategy to grab
the broomstick.

Would you want it there?  I think Iain (or John?) didn't think it was a good
idea.

(...) By process of elimination, I guess it was me then who mentioned it :) Grabbing the broomstick, which is like a few feet (maybe even a meter) below the beam, would be quite hard I think. However, if it could be done, it would almost guarantee a (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
