That'd be ideal, offsets is nasty foo.

I think, it was either Iain or John, who said if we put the broomstick thingy in
the base, it would make everyone need to use it and would basically force a
given strategy.  I guess it is overwhelmingly attractive as a strategy to grab
the broomstick.

I was just saying it should be oriented the way you've shown it, vs. 90 degrees
to that, because if it's the other way then you have to traverse a fixed amount
of beam before you can reach down and get it.  This way, it doesnt' matter when
you clasp onto it or at what position you're at - leaves it more open.

Would you want it there?  I think Iain (or John?) didn't think it was a good
idea.

I still have mixed feelings about it.  Need to discuss more/let it marinade
more.  :)
