What the **c* are you talking about. I've suggested no such thing!
Whether you will play first is decided well before you load your robot
with chips. That has nothing to do with it. I'm merely suggesting how
the robots should be told to start playing.
I suggested my method because I allows the operator of the Arbitrator to
control when the game is started. In fact the robots must be setup to
play either Red or Black in advance because they must be connected to
the Arbitrator based on the colour they are playing.
I even suggested in an earlier post that there was nothing wrong with
running different code depending on whether you are playing first or
second. Clearly the side you'll be playing would have to be decided in
advance for this to be possible.
I suggested my method because I thought it would be a simple standard
way to get the game started, and I had miss read the rules and thought
the starting procedure was less clear then it is.
The Arbitrator will be able to work with either method. Chip colour and
order of play will be decided before you even have to turn your robot on.
