Actually, the H&K MP5 is next. They have one at the gun range we go to (fully
auto) to be rented. I'm going to jump on that next time we go shoot.

I *almost* did an MP5 in full-auto...but then I looked at the cost of the
ammo multiplied by the magazine capacity divided by the rounds per second --
and decided to rent a nice slow semi instead. :-,

No Berettas for rent though... I, sadly, haven't even gotten to shoot one.

I've only been able to find one for rent, but I have to say it was a whole
lot more fun than the typical fare at this particular range.  After
practically breaking my wrist on a short .40 Glock (1), the 9-mm 92fs felt
goood.  Its trigger has a "ledge" (2) about halfway back, which I prefer but
all the ranges I've been to seem to hate.

What I kinda want to get my hands on is a .50 Desert Eagle, but just to see
if I could even keep the gun in my hand.  :-,

Just some rambling thoughts from someone who gets keen on the hardware but
is usually too paranoid or too poor or both to actually *own* a sidearm...

Cheers,

1.  I forget which one, but it was the one so small that only three fingers
can fit over the grip, and the barrel wasn't much longer than the handle.
Ach vey, but the recoil hurt...

2.  "ledge", "stop", whatever -- Dunno what to call it, but the trigger
catches halfway back.  I like to use this thing as a resting spot, but I
dunno if there's safety issues with that.  More comfortable than the
"safetyless" Glocks, which requre a full trigger pull every single time, IMO.
