I found 2000 sets in the White Rock Zellers, but I wasn't able to find any in the Oakridge mall Zellers, although a room mate of mine picked up one of the new Castle sets there a few days after I was there. They have arrived...finally. (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.bc.van)

Yep, we have it here in Newfoundland, Zellers on Staniger (whatever the real spelling is) has some of the smaller sets out. Didn't note prices, picked up a B wing and it was $42. Not a bad set though :) James P (25 years ago, 24-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.nf)

Also, I dialed all of the different phone numbers listed and they all go right to Shop @ Home.... So, evidence tells me that LDM is just S@H renamed for the in-box mini catalogs. My thoughts re Cdn tire and Lego... As I learned last year trying to buy 19 cent Hot Wheels , Canadian Tire stores apparently are independent in decisions regarding what stock to carry. Just a FYI in case someone from the US is thinking of striking it rich buying these sets and reselling them for $1.50US. The $1.49 + tax (in BC) is $1.70Cdn. $1.50US = $2.25Cdn Profit = 0.55 Cdn The four Canadian Tires I visited, only one had them (...) Does CT have a lot of these?? I'd pay 1.50 US each for: - as many copies of 2885 as I can get (up to 30) (love those drawers) - and up to 5 copies of 2872. Apparently Alex de Lint, and his 5 meter minifig scale titanic was shown on Torontonian TV today. My girlfriend saw it, and I'll try and get channel information if anyone is interested! G'Day Subject says it all. The have a small play area and several models. A really nice 4' X-Wing, a 3' high R2, and a near live size Vader.
