Elements which are in production by TLC, but not available for sale in sets.
For instance, a bluish-green LEGO TECHNIC beam in 1996 was what I'd call, for
simplicity sake, a "non-retail" element. Now it is a retail element.
I'd use the same term for elements exclusive to the LL model builders and things
like internal limited production and experimental elements.
