Dear Peter,
If this is any comfort, the situation in Israel isn't much better. I didn't
know by how much it was off until I moved to the US (three months ago). But I
know now. For contrast, let me tell you this - I used to buy Lego's through
different countries - every time anyone I knew traveled to the US, Europe,
Japan, etc., I'd make them buy me something. Believe me, it was pretty dull to
get set only once or twice a year - the sets I wanted were usually
discontinued by the time I had an "opportunity" of buying them.

Definitely. Example - two years ago, I found the 5571 for 1000 sheqels - at
that time, more than $300. That was at a "not-that-expensive" store.

Yeah. Even if the prices were normal, I could never find what I wanted.

Forgiven and understood - even without the toe part :-)

| (...) Hohum.....Yet another international company ignoring their international customers by running a "US residents only" competition. How many times have I seen that? Hey, you guys at TLC, WAKE UP!!! The rest of the world buys your product, so how (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.loc.au)
