Apparently, this isn't new, but I don't remember seeing anything about it
on LUGNET before.

In the Parent's section at www.lego.com, there's a sweepstakes running from
now until the end of April.

The sweepstakes is only open to US residents.

The price of entry is filling out a basic market-research, revealing your
name, your kids' information, basic LEGO ownership and buying habits (very
basic--any of us have 10x the activity they're asking for), and income
range.  And there are checkboxes to give LEGO the right to contact you.
Unfortunately, there's no checkbox *requiring* LEGO to contact you.

The grand prize is $2,000 worth of LEGO toys.  There are also 50 second
prizes, each one is a $50 gift certificate for S@H.

Woohoo! LEGO FOR LIFE!!!!! (...) Awwww..... that's not 'Lego for life! That's only 'Lego for three months'! :) Think if it were REALLY 'Lego for life', and any of US regular LUGNET-ers won, we'd put 'em out of business-- but on the plus side we'd (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Uh, is that $2,000 worth annually for life? :) Otherwise it would just be Lego for a Year for a lot of us. (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) "Lego for life" Hmph. That's not even Lego for a year! Poorly designed form, too. They seem to have a really low expectation of how much Lego people own. Also, with no room for comments, they're putting blinders on their marketing division. (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
