== Scanning torsos/shields to print out with one's own printer is one thing..
Does anyone know what ramaficiations this is going to have if we all start
scanning what I have to suspect are designs that are encompased by the TLG's
copyrights for the Castle line and then go about charging(2) for them?

== What would the ramafications be for "altering" a TLG design - changing
colors or editing out bits we don't like to make a torso 'better'..?

== There isn't likely to be a problem for original art, because we're just
making sheets of stickers that conform to the shape of torsos and shields,
which isn't any different than the knock-off companies making toys with the
same lug spacing and minifig size, etc.

I am not a lawyer.

That said, I can't imagine that it would be a good thing to either directly
scan TLC classic Castle designs and put them on the sheet, put things that are
simple color mods of TLC designs on the sheet, or take existing TLC images
(like the Racers tiger-head design) and put them on Castle-y things and then
sell it.

On the other hand, making and selling stickers with original images in the
shape of LEGO minifig torsos, shields, and "dress" bricks shouldn't be any kind
of problem.

agreed.  for the purpose of selling or probablly producing for other than
your own personal use.  original designs are the only way to go.

What about posting to ask lego, etc. to see what their stance is.

Where are we going post our original designs for voting and how will voting
work?
