I agree. It is a beautiful mech, but the instructions are nearly incomprehensible due to the background color. The first time I laoded the page, I couldn't tell it was done due to the darkness of the page. (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Well, I decided to take the plunge and start work on a mech of my own. So, I began work on a shoulder design, using a white clutch gear, that had been floating around in my head for a couple days now. I am happy to say that it works great! I'll get (...) Excellent job Mark, reminds me a lot of the nu-gundam (I think that's the name of it). The feet are really nice, and the shoulder mounted cannon is very cool. My own attempts with large scale mecha have convinced me to stick to smaller scale, due to (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Ben, I do plan to do some windows wallpaper backgrounds for downloading off my site, and undoubtedly there will be some larger images of the models when I do. I've just uploaded 8 new images of the 00228 to my website. (URL) images were created using 3DStudio Release 4, and the lego parts are entirely my own, created from scratch. Quite possibly I don't have a clue what I'm doing. The mime type you listed and that are listed in the FAQ have the extension: .dat and an application type: application/x-ldlite application/x-ldraw etc. If it doesn't matter, why specify then? I had them set to l3lab for a while; l3lab didn't come up as quickly as it pops up dialog boxes if it hits any errors in the file which slows down the action. Dave, It looks great! This will definitely look nice wreaking havoc everywhere :) I loved the great range of flexibility it exhibits, and some of the poses! Well, inspired by the prospect of a "brickwars" event here in New England, I built a first draft of a mech: (URL) still needs more weapons (and that laser arm needs some improvement) but I'm pretty happy with him overall...
