Hi everyone. I am new to the post, but I have been "listening in" for years. I recently completed a SR-71 model, after being inspired partly from Bryce Rollin's great designs, and a few months or so of research. The model can be seen here: (URL) (...)   Re: Name that Mecha

(...) You are my new hero. I tried to start a mech a few months ago with similarly sized feet, and got stuck at the hips, even using the same ball joint. Your solution is fantastic! And is that paper stuck into the joint to make it have more or less (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: A Wedding Sculpture

Hey Anthony, Great Swans! They should be a great addition to your wedding. I also was in my dark age during my wedding. My wife had no idea that she was marrying a future lego maniac, but she is also one now too. :) I think the swans should be (...)   Re: Name that Mecha

(...) Awesome "Lenny Shot", Allister. I can't remember seeing a mech doing a "thumbs-up" before. The mech is also cool. You got all the joints to work plus the right sculpturing to prevent it from looking like a box with stick-limbs. The proportions (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(URL) Blow me away. That is beautiful. I remember looking at the real thing in Venice and thinking, "that would be a fun build", but you bring it to life, I love the minimal grey highlights, The dome, everything.   Re: Name that Mecha

'morning Allister, I saw your mecha on BrickShelf before seeing your post. Here is what I think : I like very much the fact you integrated as much as possible rounded bricks in this mecha : the barrels, the kind of rings used on the outside (...)   Name that Mecha

Hi All, I've just completed a new mecha. I started this some weeks ago with nothing more in mind than a desire to Build Something Using Green. The first two attempts were ok, but kinda goofy looking (photos available on request), but I'm pretty (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Santa Maria della Salute in Venice

I was just looking over all the pictures on Brickshelf before you posted. This is really some build! Very nice, very detailed intricate construction. The details and just a joy to look at. Even the light bulb holder is Lego. Great work. e (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

I love the Floating Spamcake Diner-- what a great idea:-) And your overall rendition of Venice is astounding-- the level of detail is wonderful; certainly at the level of miniland, which is the highest compliment (...)   Re: Murasaki modular corridor system

(...) Heh. We (and by "we" I mean "I", since I was the only one moving them around during setup) actually found that when you make the mistake of picking them up by the far ends of the corridors, the central hub is self-ejecting. Is it any wonder where we got the shape for the modern valentine heart? (URL) I created an identical Swan using all the left over white bricks I had. It wasn't a pretty build, let me tell you.
