Er, um...well, if trans-yellow or trans-flourescent yellow Bohrok eyes existed
like Ive been hoping for, and Id used sand-purple instead of dark-purple, itd
be very close to Skywarps color scheme. Purely unintentional. I used black
because I didnt have a choice with certain parts (6x16 plates & 8x8 bricks).
Light-grey was because I felt black would look too dominating for a simple
corridor. Id planned to use regular purple parts, but the limited variety
really cut down on the ways I could work them in, so I went with dark-purple.
Trans-neon green was the only color of Bohrok eye that would make a
complementary yardlight color.

Anyway, this should prove to be a very handy concoction, especially if
there are a few at-hand at some conventions and displays.

Well, I dont know how widely this kit will travel, and I pretty much killed the
available Bricklink stock on a few key parts, but MichLUG will certainly benefit
from them as it did during the last show. I designed the Moonbase layout for
that show, and it seemed that the closer we got to the show, the faster I had to
incorporate new modules. We ended up having to build a pair of I-corridors
on-site for the MCCC last October, and without these corridors we basically
would have needed to do the same if we didnt want a sucky Monorail loop
squeezed into just one corner of the layout. At this point I dont care if they
get used in a show or not, but even if theyre not commited to the layout, Im
bringing them along to any Moonbase display that I participate in. Theyre
packed nicely into a locking padded case, along with a bunch of parts that have
proved useful for mounting small ships in flight, a brick separator, a dinky
shop knife, and the stuff that I use to mark my items with, so the complete kit
would never go completely unused anyways.

The lights are a nice touch...

Corridor filler modules run a huge risk of looking boring, and thats a
necessary risk when you find you have to build one on-site. My design had been
planned out well in advance, so I really had no excuse not to do something to
liven them up, but I didnt want to go crazy with tons of greebling that would
get knocked off during travel or interfere with packing them in the case I was
planning to use (they pack tight enough that I couldnt really add anything to
the sides anyways).

and the caps for the unused corridor sections leave a lot of room for lil
additions (like in the I configuration, maybe add aquariums to the
unused openings). Overall...very handy.

The hubs actually provide a useful place for minfigs to pass each other,
especially if one of them is hauling something large. Its 12x12 with chunks of
the corners knocked out, so theres 3x as much width right in the center as
there is in one of the corridor sections. But yeah, theres enough room left on
either side that a mini-module could be incorporated if someone was of the mind
to do so.
