Ah, OK. So is it only 1 stud around or is it a 2x2? The stud notches pretty much peg it as a 2x2.
The view you chose didnt make that clear. For a couple of these parts
showing them in use with another part, or showing several angles, might
clarify the usages.
|
I was able to figure them all out without any trouble, with only a few
exceptions:
|
perhaps i should have enclosed directions to my mocpages
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/4529
where all of the pieces are named, however the pieces are not visible on the
page with the descriptions.
|
1. Double-ended clip plate (not sure why the other two variants werent
included).
|
probably because i havent lamented the lack of one yet. i only design what i
see a need for, not what i think others might want. that opens a whole other
can ...
|
4. 1x1 round tile.
6. Short swing-hinge plate (interesting concept, but 1x1 plates can twist a
little, so use of this might be a bit frustrating).
|
less twisty if used beside another one between rows of 2x2 windows to create
curved walls.
|
8. Tiles for the underside.
9. Tall headlight brick (Im not sure what the point of this one is, since a
2-brick height will still leave the side studs slightly wider than 2-stud
spacing, and making it shorter to fix the spacing will leave it about 1-tile
short of 2-brick height).
|
it might have to be twigged for the distance between studs (move the studs but
dont change the overall height), but for a start id use it to put a 1x2 grill
on vertically.
|
10. 1x1 log brick (I remember someone lamenting its non-existence a few days
ago).
11. Either a 1x1 version of this part or this part
without the dangly plate (not sure which part inspired it, but its
essentially the same destination).
|
6 of 1, half ...
|
12. Studless 2x2 macaroni brick.
13. At first glance it appears to be a tile version of 3x3 plate w/ round
corner, but the curved edge sticks out a bit too far. Im guessing its
actually a 2x2 tile with a 1-stud radius on the corner (like the 3x3 plate
has a 2-stud radius, rather than like the 4x4 plate which has a 4-stud
radius). There are no other parts that I can think of with a matching radius
that arent completely round (2x2 round brick, 2x2 round dome, 2x2 cone,
etc.), so Im really confused as to why this part would even be included in
the wish list.
|
sorry, its made directly with ldraws 3x3 plate and i agree, the curved edge
does stick out too far, as it does in the real piece. if this piece were
redesigned, id have it fit into the curve of the 4x4 macaroni or spindled
curved fence. does that clear up confusion?
|
14. Tile for the 2x2 macaroni brick (presumedly an alternative solution to
having #12 made?).
|
yes, i like to give lego some options. but if they only made this, then theyd
have to make a plate version also for us to create a brick equal in height to
#12.
|
15. Tile version of 3x6 plate without corners.
16. Tile version of 3x3 plate without corner.
17. Hollow version of the R2-D2 head, as compared to this part, which is not just taller, but also has tapered sides.
18a-e. New flower colors.
19. Either a short version of
this part or
this part, or a non-corner
version of this part.
Again, Im not sure which piece inspired.
|
again, 6 of 1 ...
|
20. 4-wide version of this
(Why just a 4-wide, and not a 2-wide or 1-wide?).
|
i was trying not to be too greedy, but great, why not, go for it, lego!
|
21. This is the one I had the most trouble with. It appears to be a 10
degree version of this
piece, but the concave side doesnt look nearly large enough to work. Based
on the size of the 45 degree version, and the standard 10 degree slope, itd
have to be 12x12 to have matching concave/convex slopes.
|
it is a 10 degree version. but sorry, if you superimpose the identical pieces at
45 degree angles, it is an 8x8 with an interior corner missing. again, these
pieces were taken directly from ldraw.
|
22. 33 degree faceted triple-slope. This is a partial exception because I
can tell exactly what it is, but not what its based on. The closest I could
come up with is this part,
but its 45/33/45, with a very different overall design.
|
its based on my desire to put a nice roof piece on a bay window.
|
22a. Just the unique corner section of Part #22.
|
this might be a start for lego; if they build 22a, they could save money not
building 22.
definitely opens a new can of worms with all the other 33 degree pieces missing.
