   9. Tall headlight brick (I’m not sure what the point of this one is, since a 2-brick height will still leave the side studs slightly wider than 2-stud spacing, and making it shorter to fix the spacing will leave it about 1-tile short of 2-brick height).
it might have to be twigged for the distance between studs (move the studs but don’t change the overall height), but for a start i’d use it to put a 1x2 grill on vertically.

I have a hack that does the same thing.

This can be achieved using a lenghthwise 1x2 modified plate with 1 pin (jumper plate) and connect a headlight brick on top but connect it to the square hole on the back with the top stud now facing forward and the headlight portion facing up.

Next, stack a 1x1 technic brick with hole on top with hole facing out. Insert a technic half pin into hole. The spacing of the top stud of the headlight brick and the halfpin will match a 1x2 grill tile.

Top of the stack with a 1x2 plate with the pin in the bottom of the plate going in the open stud of the technic brick. This counters the half stud offset of the jumper plate, places the tile flush with the brick face and leaves studs on top in line with the rest of the model.

The half pin is not absolutely necessary (I omitted it beacause I wanted a black backing)as the surrounding bricks keep the tile from moving and the one pin of the headlight brick is enough to hold it in place. The technic brick is needed for the hollow top stud although other bricks could be used as well (hinges, 1x4 brick modified with grove ect..)

The black grill in the middle and the blue grill at bottom right.

Hope that helps,
