Hi Jake!
I didn't make the point as clear as maybe I should have.
I'll try to keep it concise--
Constructive criticism = good
Example--
"Maybe we should think about enabling a new message interface so we can put
pictures and stuff in our posts. That would be a huge improvement to LUGNET!"
Yippy criticism--
"LUGNET sucks!! I can't believe anyone still posts here!! Look at all the
crappy posts!!! Why the h-e-double-hockey-sticks don't Suz and Todd get the
heck outta Dodge!!"
I've liked your posts for ideas of improvement--they fall into the
'constructive' side. I've read most of the posts thus far and others also fall
into the 'constructive criticism' side, but many posts do not.
As I stated, tearing someone down when they're already feeling low isn't
helpful. Offering support, even if it's just a good word every once in a while,
is, imho, very helpful.
What would I personally like to see added to the functionality of LUGNET?
Right off the top of my head--
the ability to click on a 'forgot password' link that doesn't involve Todd
sending me an e-mail :) It's been a few times when I've had to get Todd to
reset my account.
Others have had many great ideas. Keep 'em coming.
However, if someone's ideas don't get implemented as quickly as they would like
(or not at all) is no reason to get angry at LUGNET or the people responsible
for same. That's all I'm saying.
