Other here includes historical time period (past, present, future)
and/or maybe, a measure of probability/realism? What I am getting at is
that Pirates is in the past, and fairly "real" (1). Some castle is in
the past and "real", (Dark forest) but some is in the past but not very
real (that is, it is fantasy... Dragon Masters and Fright Knights
involve spells, flying dragons, etc. and therefore are unreal)
Launch command is 100% present and real.
Space port is "just a little bit" in the future, as we don't have SSTO
vehicles yet, so a bit "unreal" although certainly a good prediction.
Classic space is, I would say, more "real" than M:Tron, which in turn is
more real than Insectoids or Mtron.
1 - I'm not referring to accuracy of representation, but that's a
possible dimension too. As discussed in the model contest criteria
discussion, certain models are more accurate than others. Most TLG
minifig scale stuff is not very accurate. But this doesn't help us
categorize stuff because just about the only minifig scale model that is
accurately sized is the Technic Space Shuttle, which is not very
accurate due to being wire frame instead of solid. Most Model Team stuff
is much more accurate, but since it all is, that too doesn't tell us
anything. A dimension isn't useful if it doesn't partition things.
