I'm not with that. Why?...Read below, only one example.
The sets that we know and "cotegorize" as technic sets, were not all "Technic"
from the beginning. Although they were apperantly looking like the ones today,
those boxes released before 1982 has no "technic" label printed on them. The
words "technical sets" (in 1977 and 1978 UK catalogs - 1977 is the year that the
first technic sets released in Europe), "expert builder sets" (in 1978 and 1979
US catalogs), "das technik-programme" (in 1979 German Catalaog), "teknik
programmet" (in 1979 Danish catalog), and again "das technik-programme" (in 1981
German train catalog) could be seen whole aroun, but as mentioned before, the
word technic started to be used on set boxes and catalog covers in 1982.
So how could you categorize them as technic, if you should go with the TLG's
way? 8860 has three different boxes during its life span. One with no labels
(1982 technic catalog, German), one with "exper builder set" label , and the
other with label "technic" (1984 technic catalog, Dutch).
There are many other oddities, if you want to go insane..:-P
So discard TLG anywhere appropriate, and go with the logic...

| (...) This may seem an odd question, but is this topic meaning to discuss how the database will be organized at a data level, or at an interface level? If the former, this is probably irrelevant to the vast mojority here, so I'm assuming the later. (...) (26 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.admin.database)
