(...) <SNIP> (...) Great MOC! Have you though about trying to slim down the interior portion of the turret? I've done one slightly smaller here: (2 URLs) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)

Technic, what happened to the good old days?

I grew up during, what was in my opinion, the golden age of technic (1992-1996 was the best). I remember seeing a technic model in those square catalogues and thinking WOW. So many functions and new functional pieces. I remember staring at pictures (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Flex system hose

Hello, Regarding the flex system hose that is used for hand rails and such on trains: Has anyone ever tried sourcing this elsewhere other than in lego sets? Might it be available at hardware stores? Thanks, Jonathan (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Three military vehicles

(...) Nice hatch for the driver. The car doors as the shield on the APC are simple but effective. I really like the green pyramid on the main gun, but it might look better if you moved it back a couple of plates and lengthened the rest of the (...)   Re: I feel Blue

(...) Actually grey odd length axles started in 2003. Yes, having all those 2L structural pieces (pins, friction pins, axle pins w/ and w/o friction, 2L axles) in different colours will relieve kids' frustration of picking the wrong parts because (...)   Re: Tug of War - R21

(...) Well, there are parts in my Den that I assume will assemble into a Tug of War robot. But I will have something, even if it's just a motor, battery pack and winch for July 29nd. Derek (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  S@H summer 2006 catalogue out

Well, I have to admit I found a few things to not be happy with about the new catalogue. Ignoring that we are getting hosed with the exchange rate, some of the unpleasant surprises are: -baseplates of all sorts are up in price. 626 green 32x32 is (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.loc.ca)

A truck and a helo. No, seriously.

A week and only one post! You folks are as bored as me! So here I am, an avowed pirate and spaceman, building a truck. Sad but true. And its not even very good. But it does go well with the new Building Crane, which you should all have a good look (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament - The Teachings of Jesus

--SNIP-- (...) Here is where you get into the fat minifigs vs short minifigs debate. I like to assume my figs are about six foot tall and built like John Candy. As such 5 studs = 6'.   Three military vehicles

Hello all, This past year I've taken a break from Castle-building and have taken on modern military style MOCs, many of which were inspired by my stint in the Norwegian Army almost ten years ago.   I feel Blue

I have been objective to the standard part colour combinations from TLG for a few years now. This post is not a bashing of new greys or browns. Axles have always been black, so to friction pins. Many parts have always been produced in few colours. (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.color, lugnet.parts, FTX) !!

  Re: Factory Set: Checkerboard Boxcar
