Hello all,

This past  year I've taken a break from Castle-building and have taken on modern
military style MOCs, many of which were inspired by my stint in the Norwegian
Army almost ten years ago. Military MOCs often end up a little too big for the
figs scalewise, and I've done my best to minimize this, while
maintaining/balancing functionality and playability. All of these models have
space inside for figs to sit with the hatches completely closed; and working
with that basic condition, I've built them as compactly as I could.

The Bulldog Medium Tank was my first attempt at building with the new dark
green. The interior of the hull is six studs wide, but by using panels in the
walls I have enough space for a six stud wide octagonal turret to rotate. This
turret can be removed and replaced with an alternative top, transforming the
vehicle into a spartan, though functional, APC with space for maybe four guys
plus a gunner.

The Badger Infantry Fighting Vehicle was inspired by a number of different
Western IFVs. Initially I hoped to fit a squad of eight in, but there just
wasn't space this time. I can squeeze six troops in the back, but four or five
(with equipment) is a much more comfortable fit. I'm not entirely happy with it
aesthetically, but another turret design that looked a little smoother was too
fragile. I figured this thing doesn't really need to be pretty, and most of the
time it's doing it's best to stay camoflagued anyway, as at WAMALUG's Fall for
Fairfax 2006 show (pic with the foliage attached).

PLMKWYT!

Great MOC! Have you though about trying to slim down the interior portion of the
turret? I've done one slightly smaller here:

Duane, Thanks for responding, I'm a big fan of (and very inspired by) your motorized tank! (...) Nice work! The Bulldog and Badger both have two guys in their turrets and I got them as compact (narrow) as I could. The MCV turret is seven bricks wide (...)
