Tim, even at 6’ that proportional waist size would make John Candy look like an Olsen twin. But you’re right, there’s no reason to even pretend you can truly build in minifig ‘scale.’ (As to the comment you made about two 200 pound people sitting side-by-side in a car--yes, I see it all the time as I weigh 220 pounds. But I think the more minifig-esque comparison would be two 400 pounders in the same car.)

Interesting. So, has anybody built a 5-wide car that seats two minifigs astride? Schin, consider yourself challenged anew!

Well Rev, as I pointed out in another post, it’s impossible to put two minifigs side-by-side in a space smaller than 6-wide. Even then, you have to use jumpers and thin-wall pieces. The only possible way would be to either sit one minifig higher than the other or to rip their arms off...which would make fitting them into a car a bit of a moot point.

--SNIP== (...) Not quite true. You could fit two minifigs in a car very slightly smaller than six wide (big maybe 5.5 wide, more easy 5.8 wide) but for all practical purposes six wide is the smallest. Tim (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Actually, the strange thing about the minifig's girth is that (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)
