Well, first off, I am glad I got you to build anything, because your results are usually awesome when you get around it. But I’m surprised that, given that the point was to show off a thinner car that fits two minifigs astride, none of your 8 photos actually show two minifigs in the car. But I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Anyhow, I like the wheels you chose, and I’m kicking myself for forgetting about the HC514 license plate tile. Your car’s got a nice look to it, and I’m jealous of the seeming relative ease with which you threw it together. Mine was labored over slowly for an entire work day. Sad, I know.

I guess the overall question is: if the LEGO world is to best mirror the human world, how wide (and how long) should an average car be? From attending a few Brickfests, and occasionally stumbing into .trains, I recall that train widths is a hotly debated topic, and I’m not sure I want to open a car width debate that could have the same devastatingly polarizing affect on the .town community. So I’ll just scamper back to .ancient and try to avoid any more Brick Testament scenes with automobiles.

but it’ll be done by the time you pick it up during BrickFest.

As you’ve discovered, I can just as easily invite you to cool LEGO events happening 2,500 miles away. :) Of course, you were polite enough to give me more than six days’ notice.

(...) Brendan, As always, fantastic job. My favorite bit was the rubber band and hat as the turban--I had just used some Lego rubber bands in a vig of my own and I think it worked so well I'll be going back to that technique again. Anyway, I'd also (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)
