  Re: LoTR: The Two "Towels"

(...) Well, that's one negative vote against millions of positive. Not to say that you're wrong, but let's remember that the film is an adaptation, and Almighty Tolkien penned more than his fair share of terrible dialogue, and he was frankly far to (...)   RE: IR Tower not working when downloading firmware

Andy, It is not COM port problem. I have used the same PC and the same configuration to successfully download to RCX the night before I took all the batteries out of the RCX. After 24 hours without battery, the RCX lost its firmware. It fails to (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Some great Space info and dicussion

(...) The catagories are interesting. I'm not sure weight is the way to go since it's dependant upon the gravitational effect of the current location. If you think converting between US and metric is bad, just wait until you have to convert Mars (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: System Defense Boat "Sulu"

This is a really nice capital ship. It's got good roots in modern-day, seagoing warships, and reminds me of animesque extrapolations on what large spacecraft of tomorrow might look like (think Battletech). Awesome. The larger side missles that (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 8431 Sold Out -- "DISCONTINUED", backorders in USA!

(...) Hi All, If you look on SAH, 8431 now says "Backorders Accepted, will ship by 21 Feb 2003" for USA. Another AFOL alerted me about the 8431 backorder and said that he already ordered it and it shipped the next day! To be honest, I hesitated in (...) Wendy, Dick, I'm fighting the same issue on a RIS 1.5. I haven't resolved the problem yet but let me share what I've found. Character echo means only that you've connected to the IR tower.
