(...) Firstly, how heavy is your train? You've got a battery-powered, gear-driven drive system that doesn't run very fast under the best conditions, so unless you strip it down to the bare essentials (one sled, one motor, one battery box, and just (...)   monorail maintenance?

I'm coming into the monorail world late and have been acquiring track and parts on Bricklink. I have two motors and both seem to run very slowly. They really seem to labor going up-hill. --snip-- (...) --snip-- Hi Ted, Just a quick word of warning... I've never tested this one in real life so there's not guarantee the solution I have there works. It seemed to work out in CAD but real life is the ultimate decider. Tim (17 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Tony - Thanks for all the great info! (...) That will be #1 on my to-do list... Very nice. (...) I had been digging around the internet, but had not come across Ben's presentation yet.   Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

(...) Well, I'm no train expert, I only started building train MOCs a little over a year ago, but I'll be happy to share my opinions.   Re: Updated Train Shed and Post Office

(...) I think you did a nice job with this. I really like the back of it where you have the rolling garage door. It makes it look like there was once a taller door for the engine but then they reconfigured it. You've really captured that look with (...) (17 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Very nice. I have not taken my engine shed out of the box yet but I will keep your modifications in mind when I do.   Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

(...) Not bad, not bad at all. Considering you were working from a limited palette, I agree you were able to capture the feel of a streamlined steam engine.   LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

I just finished my first MOC using LDD 2.0 of a steam engine inspired by a 'Streamlined Hudson'. Hi all, After LEGO 'published' the Blacksmith set by Dan as the first in their MOC series, none have followed. Do you know why they only published one MOC in their series?
