I have to agree with Larry here in that the announcement itself is far more
important than the product itself.
It shows that an outside company has noticed the swell in activity around
"L-Gauge" trains and they feel there is room in the marketplace for their
product.
I'm sure there would have been more of a "wow factor" if the actual product
had been something more exciting than a track cleaner. (However the thread
does show some people do get excited about track cleaners!) And the
announcment is still young, so I'm sure there will be more opinions to come.
Personally, I would have been more interested if it were something like an
electronic snap-on point switcher, lighting gear or something along those
lines.
But the announcment itself and the fact that Centerline and Lego reps are in
discussions is an important point in the history of Lego trains.
