I've gotta disagree here - sometimes finding the best way using modified parts
is just as much a challenge as doing it "pure". (Yes, I have used some modified
parts - I just don't like to broadcast it!.)
So I'd like to see models with minor mods welcomed in MoTeC with open arms -
there's already too much compartmental dorkism in the world 8?) I see it as no
worse than (as others have mentioned) non-LEGO string, ballast etc, which are
specifically allowed (and have been used by yours truly). Does there need to be
a limit to the amount of modification? Probably not - models with too much will
probably get less votes, anyway.
