To use another real-life example- of a worst-case scenario, even:
Let's say a Jedi is travelling the real world. He unexpectedly ends up in,
say, Tokyo. He has only American dollars, no Yen. American dollars are still
worth *something*, although most shops won't take them. However, he needs to
buy this piece, etc, like in the film.
Would you say it would be evil for him to use his powers to get the shopkeep to
take the dollars instead of Yen? The shopkeep can always convert the money,
somehow. Granted, it may be a big pain in the neck, but it is possible.
Yes, yes, the Jedi could *also* get the money converted, but not knowing anyone
in his present location, and time being of the essence, it's much more
expedient to let the shopkeep worry about it- especially considering that the
shopkeep *probably* has "friends" who can help arrange such a deal, even if it
means calling in some favors.
Just a thought exercise. To make it more interesting (and accurate), replace
"Tokyo" with someplace more isolated/less cosmopolitan... say, a small village
in the middle of nowhere.
