It may be that you are right and this is what happened.

I was choosing this explanation because being a Queen's ship,
and therefore of somewhat greater diplomatic importance, that
less "interceptable by others" types of communications would
be used.

But I was thinking that the message was just sent out on a certain
frequency, kinda like the police frequencies you can pick up with a scanner.
They knew she was out there, but they did not know where, so they just
broadcast that message on a frequency they knew she would be monitoring.


They may have discovered her ST style, too, by tracing a
hyperdrive signature? Or putting out a want ad, "Wanted:
Nubian 327! Top Dollar Paid!"
