I like dub, roots reggae and jamaican bluebeat while building usually.
Dub is great for building space, the expansive echo of the music lets your
mind get creative and wander while the driving beat keeps you working.
good dub artists to check out: King Tubby (orginator!) Lee Scratch Perry,
Victor Rice
I've been diving into world lately, but modern stuff; native musics being
blended with techno and electronica fascinates me. Tabla Rasa and
Ex-centric Sound System are 2 good ones I just picked up.
great subject... it's interesting to see what everyone here likes musically.
