Oops, I do believe I forgot to mention that both ships windows and hangars are
all interior-lit! It just photographs really badly. The engines light up a fiery
red, too, again a Dragonstar influence. Ill mention the lighting in the
builders notes...

On a technical note - are these digital photos, or scans of film? If
digital, you can get the white balance right by setting it to a sheet of
white paper in the lighting youre shooting in. If film, shooting outside
works best, unless you spring for expensive daylight-balanced bulbs, or
Tungsten-balanced slide film. (If Im misinterpreting your artistic
intentions, please forgive me)

I wasnt willing to play too much with the white balance seeing as it was a
white MOC on a white backdrop. I did an original shoot on a dark backdrop but
the pictures came out extremely murky. The ones you see are Photoshop-adjusted
for levels anyway.

And, a small request - could we see some shots of the micro-fig fighters out
in the open? They look pretty cool.
|
I will... when I photograph their minifig-scale version.
Cheers,
