Never again. It was a labour of love (all 1.2 metres of it), but the affair is over... It was fun to build, and I was glad to make a microscale (space)battleship with the features it has, but there’s just too many things wrong with big ships. They’re kind of interesting to build once, but they’re a pain to transport and an even bigger pain to photograph. Not to mention one could really make at least two ships that are just as interesting and are a better use of the parts... this one will be dismantled to make way for other stuff.
Nooooo!

This is my favourite MOC, far and away. It only took a short time to build, it was pure inspiration all the way. My greebling was better than usual, too.
I think it’s safe to say perfect.

Paul,

These are terrific! I think Gil covered it: In lugnet.space, Gil Shaw wrote:

Just incredible Paul.

But I think what does it for these, besides the incredible detail and overall form, is the interplay of various textures. From smoothe to coarse, ribbed to angled, it works so well! I love this pic:

I actually like The Flame better, everything from the ribbed levels to the technical apertures. As Paul Hartzog also pointed out, the sectional pattern on the bottom is excellent detail that could have been overlooked.
When reading the first snippits of feedback as in Gil’s post I thought, “Hangars? He also built microsized hangars?” Then upon seeing the aft view pic I was like “WOW, that’s awesome!” The whole design of the hanger in The Flame is spiffy, not to mention the takeoff strip! Someone asked about the hangars on The Lance and, correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems they’re embedded, thus hidden, in each side--what a great idea!

I noticed this as well and would like to know the answer.

Also, excellent choice on the color schemes, and have I seen that Exploriens ship before in minifig scale?
Keep up the excellent building!

And as Eric Sophie said, Ok, we need a 70’s graphic with you and an Afro!
