Hi Jordan,

If I may respond to a few of your comments...

What several posters seem to have forgetten, or not known, is that
every single joule of energy has to be accounted for. Energy costs in
space combat will be paramount.

I believe this to be true in modern day fleets.  I am sure fuel and energy
usage are calculated into a mission.

Many of the hypotheses which some of you have thrown out contradict the
logical mathematical realities, which is upon what much of space combat
would be based.

If you take a look at the history of technology, it is filled with
contradictions of said logical mathematical realities.

One only has to possess a basic understanding of physics and know the
necessary equations to
understand this.

I think the true romance of science fiction is that anything is possible
and to use a famous quote, I'm sure we've all heard before "Where there's a
will, there's a way."

and that's my two bright shiny pennies :^D
