Ok well, I wasn't trying to be rude, and I appologize if that is how my • message
was recieved.

The term "crap" tends to be more rude then polite.  ;)  :)

I see, yes, the word crap is often given a negative connotation.  I guess I
figured writing it as 'crap' would have indicated it was meant in a joking
fashion.

Droids was not originally published by Dark Horse
Episodes 1, 2, and presumably 3 replace what happens in the Droids comics, • therefore invalidating
them.

Ok, I think this is where the confusion starts.  The "Droids" title refers
to several series featuring Artoo and Threepio.  First of all is the Droid
cartoon show, which ran in 1985.  Second is the Marvel Star Droids comic
books, a tie-in to the television show, which ran from 85-86.  Third is the
Dark Horse droids series of comic books, which ran from about 94-97. These
last are *not* the same as the Marvel Star comics, nor are they reprints.

Now, you seem to have confused the two.  The Dark Horse Droids comics
feature entirely new and different stories from the Star.  So Dark Horse
*did* run a series of Droids stories that was entirely it's own, and the
comics published by Dark Horse *were* orginally published by Dark Horse.
(They *never* reprinted the Star comics, but I wish they would.)

Ah, I though the Dark Horse "Droids" was a reprint of the original and so I
never read them.

Because it was the stated policy of LFL as of a year ago. Perhaps they have
since changed this policy, but that would create some continuity problems.
(which is why they are/were 'ignored' in the first place)

Where is this?  I'd be interested in seeing this, as I did not run across it
a year ago.  In any case, I have already stated the current LFL policey,
which does include Droids and SOTME.

Adrick

You are right the current policy does now include the original "Droids" and
SOTME.  They must have changed this with in the last year. There used to be a
page on starwars.com that explicitly stated that SOTME was an ignored soucre
(as far as continuity) because it occured at the same time as ESB. Same with
the original "Droids" and the prequels. Now it seems that the new policy allows
more liberties, as far as minor conflicts, as long a there are no major ones.
The new Infinites catagory is for anything that does not fit in the accepted
timeline.  Obviously what we see in the movies still overrides everything else.
Ok, well I will now consider myself educated and up to date on the current
policies. Thank you for your persistence in getting this point across. :-)
