I designed a caster wheel assembly that worked pretty well. It uses a single, centered wheel instead of the two wheels you have. The two wheel assembly you are using tends to not want to turn. Anyway go to the following web site for assembly (...) (24 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi folks, Apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm a little stumped. I just received a RIS 1.5 set, and inside was a yellow brick labelled RCX 2.0. I need to make a decision about purchasing Mindstorms kits for my sons school. We have decided to buy 5 or 6 RIS kits. I'm sorry to say that I don't have anny suggestions, just some more info to consider. I imagine that the difference between RIS1.5 and RIS2.0 will be the software. With the news of steep discounts on the Droid developer kit, I located fours sets at a CompUSA in Austin, and bought them all at $29.99 each. That's the one. I used the low pressure version to get the 1/2 watt rating I.E. 5VDC @ 100mA. It works, but it has a few drawbacks....It's a traditional 3 way valve (Com, NO, NC) so it doesn't vent the same way the Lego valves do, you'd need two to (...) (...) Strictly speaking, there is a difference, physically, between the 1.0 and the 1.5 or 2.0 RCX (I have a 1.0 and a 2.0). The 1.0 has an external power jack.
