Hi folks,
Apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm a little stumped.
I just received a RIS 1.5 set, and inside was a yellow brick labelled RCX
2.0. I'm reasonably familiar with the RCX 1.0, and I have a 1.0 with a
power jack. This one has no power jack.
Is this...physically the same as a 1.0 minus jack, and therefore like the
RCX 1.0's that came without in the later RIS 1.5 shipments?
...or is it a new model? I've searched around but only found information
about the RCX 2.0 firmware. My assumption is the board/hardware has not
changed save the silkscreen printing on the brick and the power jack, which
left in later RIS 1.5's anyways.

| (...) That's interesting. (...) Neither does the RCX 1.5 (...) Yes - I think so. We aren't aware of any hardware differences between 1.5 and 2.0 and the only difference between 1.0 and 1.5 is the external power socket. (...) Exactly...and you can (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| I have heard that RCX 2.0 has more memory in it than RCX 1.0 . Could you use tools like RcxCC to check the amount of memory in your RCX 2.0? Cheers, Hao-yang Wang (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) So you got the same late shipment from Future Shop too? I was hopping that we may get a RIS 2.0, but a RIS 1.5 is still great for the 50% off price. I also have no idea if the RCX 2.0 has any physical difference compare to a RCX 1.5. (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)
