Actually, the "Windows® CE eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0" cost $7.50 direct from
Microsoft and let you develop in Visual Basic and C++. The VB is a cut down
version, more like VB Script, but will drive the serial port. I have not tried
the C++ as I am allergic to C-like languages.
See http://developerstore.com/devstore/product.asp and select the "Windows® CE
eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0" link at bottom left of the page. Please don't let me
know if anyone buy this from Microsoft as a result of my post as I will be very
ashamed:-)
