All the 'good stuff' is on www.agendacomputing.com - check out the 'developer'
links.

I wasn't proposing to replace the RCX - but merely to use the Agenda to provide
*MUCH* more intelligence for the robot. I want to use the Agenda to run fancy
AI routines and to control the robot by sending IR commands to the RCX.
The Agenda is small enough and light enough to carry on the robot so it's still
fully autonomous.

Well - I guess that's pretty tricky. The only outputs from the Agenda is the
RS-232 and IR ports...interfacing those to motors and such is not going to be
an easy proposition.
I still maintain that the best way to do this is to build a MODULAR system
based on something like the I2C bus...but that's a different problem.
What I think the Agenda solves is the "Serious computer on a Robot with
useful battery life" problem.

| I have been following this thread with great interest - as an avid seeker of alternatives. I would appreciate a link to some in depth info about the "Agenda" device if there is one. I also have a question; If you are proposing replacing the compute (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)
