I don't agree. (Well, it just fits withing my B.K. philosophy.) I've lived
overseas most of my life (1). In countries which are allies or even just
friendly to the US, I appreciate (a minimal part of) the presence that the
US keeps, especially with hostiles just over the horizon.

I mentioned Panama for a reason. We were obligated to go in there and shake
things up, once our puppet dictator started misbehaving. Noriega was our
bad boy, and we spanked him.
Granted, he shouldn't have been there in the first place. And since Bush
both helped put him in power and take him out, perhaps ol' Curious George
should be behind bars as well.
My point is: There are many times when the absense of our presense would be
more damaging than our presense. Damaging to them, damaging to our
neighbors, and damaging to us.

Just the north end. :-D Let's keep the woodlands.

1. Kwajalein Missile Range, Republic of the Marshall Islands. I've watched
the systematic rape, pillage and ethnic cleansing (2) of a stone-age culture
by the US since I was age 5 -- I won't argue that there are a lot of places
where the US simply doesn't belong.
