Bravo.
If you're going to fight, fight to win. The Clinton administration has
demonstrated that it does not understand the Powell doctrine and is
misusing the military might of the US here, as it did in so many other
places around the world where it has tried to project power with no
clear plan or goal.
But I say get out. That's a better choice.
The US is not the world's policeman. Kosovo is, strangely enough, a
shining example of gun control gone awry. The Kosovars are being
terrorised by jackbooted thugs after being disarmed by their government.
Too bad the KLA can't just go buy weapons on the open market. An AK-47
is a lot cheaper than a cruise missile and a lot less likely to kill
innocents.
The US and the rest of europe have no business interfering in internal
affairs AS GOVERNMENTS. They should let private citizens do as they
wish, though, to aid the warring factions as they choose.
