Yeah, elsewhere in this thread I mentioned the same thing. If one considers the
elmination of the middlemen publishers/distributors then the creator reaps the
ENTIRE reward of what is being offered by the Library. Lets say an artist
creates a work, the Library pays for 5,000 copies at $15 USD each which is $75K
USD -- not bad for a years work comparing to the average, right? If more or
less copies were desired, then the artist makes more or less based on the
axctual patronage of the Library (which is itself a reflection of public
demand).
There could also be one committee, or even several committees as necessary for
certain kinds of works, to distinguish certain works as worthy of patronage
despite low demand -- say 2,000 copies at $10 USD each which is a mere $20K USD,
enough for that artists to survive somewhat meagerly, or at least to supplement
his/her income and continue producing. This falls into the category of things
being good for you even if you dont think so, things like (view with caution -
