Why do we want to stop hijackings? To protect life and commerce? Your

Nope. Even if the bill is poor. Its aim is still to counter terrorism. By
criticising the bill (even with grounds) one could be criticised as being
soft on terrorism by critics (the bills supporters). Logic was involved in
my argument. It is deficient in yours.
