Of course it can! Determine the eccentricity, whack a heap of them 2x4 bricks
for compression and some of the technic beams with pin joints in for tensional
strength.

I wonder If anyone has done any stress/strain measurements on Lego plates and
bricks under different tension and compression forces. Hmmm..too late for me
to start my final year thesis on that though, d'oh, maybe an excuse to do a
masters.
