I think he was meaning a peak which is 3 studs across, not 3 studs wide
(the 2x3 medium slope peak in fact exists). However, what we also need
is a 1x2 and/or 2x3 low slope peak. One way to solve the 3 across peak
is to release a series of slopes like Tyco's medium slopes which are
just the slope portion without the attached brick. This would allow
getting an odd width peak with the following construction:
/\....existing peak
/__\
/| \..normal slope
/_|____\
^
new slope
Now the bottom edge is 3 studs wide.

I think the uses of these would be so limited for the number of parts
introduced.

Yea, give us back the old 4.5/12v style 2x2 light brick, just put the 9v
connectors on the top instead of the 4.5v/12v connector on the back.
Another idea for a bulb would be one which is not part of a brick, but
fits into a Technic hole, have say a 6" 9v wire coming out of it.

This would be hard to do without compromising the size of the motor. I'm
sure TLC doesn't make their own motors, in fact, I'm sure you would find
that their motor is a pretty standard motor. I know I've so often seen
motors just about exactly the form factor of the old 4.5v and 12v
motors. I think the 1L axle arrangement is about perfect, though I guess
a 2L would let you mount the motor in a Technic beam frame with the axle
sticking through, which could be handy.

| (...) Y'all are way too obsessed over this problem. Why, when faced with a completely impossible situation like a roof peak with 3 studs to cover, I just stand on the back of my big blue ox and clap on a nice long 1x plate down the center line. (...) That's what I'd call "good juniorisation" (similar to 2x2x3 brick, which I think is very useful, why don't they have a 1x2x3? 5 is a bit much) (...) Lights *would* be nice!
