Re: Are you going to try out?

Well, given the fact that a lot of people (some who read LUGNET, some who do not) have been asking me about the whole Master Builder Search thing, I figure I will go ahead and chime in. While I am quite flattered that many friends and AFOLs said (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: 2004 catalog sighting?

I too have yet to get a 2003 catalog. It seems that the big multipage catalog is not as an important promotional piece as it used to be. If I remember correctly, some sets this year had other sets in the same line displayed in the back of the (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 2004 Catalog Sighting

Funny thing, I noticed this thread as I was looking for a newsgroup to post this to. Forgive me if this doesn't come up as a followup - the LUGNET posting system doesn't like me for some reason, so I have to do everything by email. Well, here's your (...)   Re: 2004 catalog sighting?

(...) Some of the fun went away during the bad years (around 1999) when themes as we knew them submerged, and now there are so many other "leaks" and special treats on the web that the catalog is not so new when it surfaces. Yeah, I miss that too, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

  2004 catalog sighting?

There used to always be a lot of excitement on r.t.l. and LUGNET this time of year in anticipation of the first sighting of next year's LEGO catalog. Someone would find it, someone would post scans of it and discussion of all the new sets and parts (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Halloween bucket

That 1,300 piece 4405 tub looks promising. Toys R Us in the US is currently having a sale on the 4107 ($14.95 I believe.) But this tub has just too many 1x1 pieces... Thanks for the information. -- Bryan "BrikTrak.com" (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Halloween bucket

This is currently available from S@H in the UK - if you set your basket to UK and go to the 'bricks and buckets' section, you will see it. It's 9.99 (UK pounds) per tub for 200 pieces I believe, so not a good deal. I'm hoping they bring this out (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)
