Just a few more days left of this sale event.
Normally, I don't waste time going to KBToys even though there is one I pass by
regularly. But I stopped two days before the sale began to scope out the Lego
situation and was back there first thing the day the sale began.
Selection was paltry as usual for KBToys retail locations here in New York
State, so I bought some stuff and left the junk behind. With the 30 percent
discount taken in addition to red-tag markdowns I was able to realize between 45
and 60 percent off normal retail prices. I had a few $3.00 off coupons from
Lego for the new Make and Create and managed to get some copies of set 4100 at
50% off. The store clerk did not know if he could accept coupons, but he
cheerfully removed $3.00 off the price of those items anyway.
A check of the KBToys website a few days ago did NOT show any signs of offering
this 30% discount on the web. Too bad since the website offers almost the
complete assortment of current Lego retail items.
