Wow, I think that I have opened a big can of worms :)
I have read everyone’s responses so far. Here are some of my thoughts.
How about a compromise? A castle site similar to ILTCO could be set up. It
could link to current lugnet.castle threads, offer castle news, have a library
section for interviews, building instructions, and tutorials, and maybe featured
content of new sets from LEGO eventually.
No one would have to visit the site. Hopefully additional castle content would
encourage people visit.
I agree with most people here that there are many sites out there and it is
impossible to visit all of them. However, I do believe that a website could
reach a much larger audience of Lego castle fans. It also seems that the
lugnet.castle newsgroup has many diverse issues, which might be made into
sub-categories. I may want to read about a lord of the rings creation but not
about isle of mist (no offence). I still think that a buy/sell/trade area
specifically for castle would be nice.
Thank you for your feedback so far. I would like to hear more thoughts. Thank
you to everyone who has emailed me about helping with a site or reviewing the
custom sets, even if you have not posted here.

| Hello fellow castleheads, I am pleased to announce a new castle website in the process of being put together this fall. Earlier this summer Lenny Hoffman and I agreed that it would be nice to have a castle website that served several missing (...) (21 years ago, 11-Aug-03, to lugnet.castle)
