  Adding new pieces in MLCad
 
MLCad being a Windows based program, I often find myself using "drag and drop" to place my next piece into my DAT file. If, for instance, I drop it into the "Front" view, then the piece goes into the DAT file at the X and Y location that is (...) (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

When I started using MLCAD/L3P/POV-RAY, I had quite a few issues. - Installation - The existing ldraw.org was pretty good in instructing how to find and install these things. I noticed one of Marc Klein's parts had comments for a part rotation point. I assume this is because he used MLCad to open the part and saved it. It got me thinking, though. What if a part file had extended commands for custom part rotation points (...) (24 years ago, 12-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) Possibly! I got a copy of the latest LDLite and it does a much better job of rendering the edge lines. However it doesn't support .mpd files as well, when you point it at an MPD it only renders the first subpart it finds, or so it seems. Also (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

In the report dialog there is a checkbox to enable the parts-per-step report. If this is not checked you will receive a report over the complete model. I'll check that in the file-report as well - (I'm not sure here) Is it ok, that MLCad takes care (...) (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hi Tim, Good idea, perhaps (i hope so !) we can get some more detailed 'help' on the new programs/ utilities. There are a lot unknow / un documented buttons in those programs. Hi, Ive got a coupe of ideas that would make things easier(for me at least) 1. A "select all" function to go with "copy" and "paste". 2. A compiler, something that would list how many of each piece is in a model, ie:for ordering pieces you don't (...) (24 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
